Winners of the first ever Temple & Webster New Talent Award at the recent 2015 GALA Awards, Mexsii Bedheads has exploded on to the interiors scene with their transformation of statement artworks into artisan headboards.
The dream child of Merryn Paul, an upholsterer and interior decorator, who was frustrated with the lack of inspiring bedheads in the industry, and partner Sarah Falzon, Mexsii’s luxe artisan pieces are inspired by the pairs love for nature, travel and of course… colour!!!

Evoking freedom and self-expression, each artwork is exclusively created for Mexsii by Australian designers, transforming any bedroom into a sanctuary people truly love to live in.

“I was always searching for a bedhead idea to create for myself, but this constant turnaround of the same fabrics and design styles became so unremarkable to me. A long time lover of vibrant art, I suddenly had a lightbulb moment: to combine my two loves of artwork and upholstery.” says Merryn.

With extreme passion about ethically sourcing materials, the girls strive to ensure the creation of their products have minimum impact on the environment. Hand-crafted in Melbourne, the artworks are printed on Belgian linen (comprised of natural fibres) using non-toxic dyes and the legs are made from recycled timber.

After the success of their first adult collection, Wanderlust, Mexsii Kids was launched last year at Life Instyle Melbourne to rave reviews and you might have also seen them pop-up in bedrooms over the last two seasons of Channel Nine’s The Block.

A stylish alternative to bedroom artwork, the Mexsii collection is currently featured on Temple & Webster (hurry be quick!) or you can see the new limited release Monochrome range here.
