TRACEY HOCKING, CEO AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR LAZY BONES 

Tracey Hocking started her clothing and bedlinen range in 2000, and almost from the start has been based in Byron Bay, NSW. Today the label is stocked in more than 200 stores worldwide and has collaborated with US brand Anthropologie with its bedding range. Last year Lazybones won a Gala award, and has exhibited many times at the event over the past 15 years.

How do you stand out as a creative business? We love all things vintage and handmade and try to bring this love to everything we make whilst also being mindful of our sustainability.

What makes for a great stand at Life Instyle?

Creativity, creativity, and more creativity.

What are your three tips to creating a successful creative business?

  1. Create thoughtful products.
  2. Leave as minimal manufacturing footprint as possible.
  3. Market creatively.
