Around Town

By Jen Bishop, Interiors Addict

It’s been a quieter than usual month in the interiors world. I think everyone’s doing their best to stay inside and hibernate! I do have a few industry happenings to share with you though!

I met with Jacqui Scruby from new wedding registry The Wedding Nest, who my fiance and I are using for our own registry. I picked them because they’re all about styling your home and they have a great range of gifts, plus guests can do everything online, unlike some of those more old fashioned department store options! They’ve got ex-Belle stylist Imogen Naylor on board, who offers her services helping couples choose gifts for their home and helping them style them after the big day. Such a great idea! I know the girls from the Wedding Nest will be at Life Instyle on the lookout for new suppliers!

The other half and I headed to Daylesford for a weekend to check out the best in its homewares and antiques stores and boutique accommodation and had a great time. Highly recommend a visit.

The launch of Boyd Blue’s latest collection was well attended by interior designers and stylists and the showroom was looking as fabulous as ever.

Stylist Nest Designs, florist Willow and Dune and fashion designer Katie Perry teamed up for a one-off pop-up shop in Paddington which was full of lovely treats.

I spoke about blogging and content marketing at the Social Media Down Under conference at Sydney’s Maritime Museum. Looking forward to sharing my insights with anyone coming along to my Meet the Experts Series session at Life InStyle next month. Come and say hi and make sure to book your spot here.

Until next month, stay warm!
