After the wild and woolly weekend in Melbourne that’s just passed, it’s very timely to meet Danielle Sanders, designer and owner of Ella Sanders. Her exquisite range of knitwear for women and children focusses heavily on textile design and quality, using long-lasting natural fibres. So whatever winter weather the southern states throw our way, mums and bubs all over town will be snug year after year.
Grab a hot chocolate, saddle up to that open fire and catchup with the wonderfully warm Danielle Sanders…
How did you end up where you are today?
I studied BA textile design, major knitwear and graduated 2003. After working for a well known large Australian label for 5 years I decided it was time to move on to pursue my dream creating my own business & designing my own knitwear.
What’s the best thing about what you do?
Designing – seeing ideas come to life and meeting such a wonderful mix of people through many different ways.
When did you start exhibiting at Life Instyle?
In 2009, AUGUST Flemington.
Why do you exhibit at Life Instyle?
The mix of exhibitors and level of quality & professional organisation.
What has been your Life Instyle highlight?
Probably Sydney 2009 show – our first Sydney trade fair which exceeded all expectations on many levels.
What can we expect from you at the next show?
Showing our exclusive range of Summer 10/11 lightweight knits which are all made from soft bamboo yarns in new styles such as scarves, cardigans & dresses. For the first time, Ella Sanders will also be previewing our AW 2011 range of pure woolen knits across scarves, beanies, wraps, cozy cardigans, dresses and homewares.
