Welcoming 2015: Dreaming & Free Inspirational Downloadables for 2015

I’m a big believer in dreaming before goal setting. That’s why I believe January is the month for dreaming. How can you know what your new year’s resolutions are if you don’t know what your dreams are? I’ve put together some dreaming prompts and created some inspiring downloadables designed to inspire you wherever you go.

Dreaming after all is a form of planning Gloria Steinem

When you make time to dream, you’re laying the foundations for goal setting. So, at this very moment, I’d like you to stop for a moment, grab yourself some paper and a pen and, without stopping, write down ten dreams. Just go. Don’t stop to think about it. Just write whatever comes to mind and keep going until you’ve hit ten.

How did you go? How did it feel to write down those dreams? Were there any that surprised you? Looking back over the list, where do the dreams fit in your life? Are they a mixture of life dreams or are they focused on your career, family or health? They might reveal an area that you want to focus on for 2015 or they might include a number of dreams that you’d like to prioritise. You can come back to this exercise and write as many as you like. When you’re ready, think about which dreams you’d like to work towards in 2015. It might be that some are long term and that you’ll need to take certain steps to get closer to them in the new year. Some might be short term and achieveable within the year. Spend some time with your dreams and discover what they mean to you.

Your 2015 Manifesto

Now that you’ve started dreaming, it’s the perfect time to set yourself a manifesto for 2015. Your manifesto might be something simple like, ‘I will live what I love in 2015’ or something more specific such as:

‘I will make time for my dreams in 2015. I will embrace vulnerability and the courage to make mistakes along the way. I will laugh and smile and celebrate with loved ones. I will enjoy the little things and be mindful of the needs of others and of myself.’

What’s your 2015 manifesto? I’ve created this tile below to share our inspiring manifestos on social media. You can click on the image to save it to your phone or desktop, then upload to social media with your 2015 manifesto. Tag @ofkin so I can see your beautiful manifesto and we can celebrate and commit to our dreams together.
